Style of Dress: Usually plain, solid-color tees and ratty jeans, always just a little too big for his thin frame. While he is always cleanly, he doesn’t see much of a point in going shopping for new clothes. It sometimes gets to the point that Alex just teleports his old clothes out of his closet and teleports new, non-ratty clothes in.

Personality: Bright, but not brilliant, Nick tends to squander his fantastic memory on things like comic book statistics and sci-fi trivia. It is a constant source of disappointment to him that he has such ‘lame’ super-powers when compared to his comic-book heroes, and he often feels inferior and useless to the rest of the Refugees. His low self-esteem often leads to periods of bitter depression, which he tries to hide from the rest of the group. When in public he presents himself as a happy, enthusiastic person with a cheesy sense of humor. Byron often mocks him for being ditzy, and Nick never retaliates openly, although sometimes Byron does find nasty (but hilarious) surprises waiting for him… like frogs in his laundry, or buckets of Vaseline propped on top of doors…

Abilities: Nick’s abilities are initially the most passive (but potentially some of the most dangerous) powers of the original group. He has the ability to become a conduit, a siphon, transferring energy or knowledge from one living being to another temporarily. Initially, his can only transfer the abilities of one Gifted to another, but later he discovers he can transfer life energy and mystical energy as well. He considers his powers useless, because while he can indeed transfer almost limitless amounts of energy, he can never hold it in himself. So, while he can allow his friends to take on each other’s abilities temporarily, he can never experience someone else’s abilities himself.

Appearance of Abilities: While transferring energy, Nick displays an aura around his hands, a different color depending on the type of energy.
