Style of Dress: Typically jeans and T-shirts. She seldom dresses up, but when she does she is strikingly beautiful. She never voluntarily wears her hair in a ponytail, however, when in uniform while under Hades’ control she was required to.

Personality: Alex is willful and strong-minded. During her captivity, she discovered that she alone out of all the prisoners was immune to Hades’ telepathic abilities. As a result, her resistance was open and frequent. Only when he threatened to punish others because of her behavior did she give in to him. Her out-spokenness sometimes gets her into trouble, and her willingness to care for and trust others has led to a great deal of heartbreak, sometimes even from her fellow refugees. Her caring and intelligence make her a natural leader, and she and Stone are the glue that holds the loose knit network of Refugees together. As the series progresses and her abilities become increasingly controlled, powerful, and god-like, she becomes less and less caring. Eventually, she turns cold and callous, and her friends forced to choose between suffering at her hands and seeking aid from their nemesis, Hades.

Abilities: Alex is a teleporter. When she first discovers her abilities, she can only teleport objects she can see to places she has been. These limitations are due to the same psychic shielding that protects her from Hades’ psychic attacks. As she develops her abilities, the shields (which had not only protected her from Hades attacks, but also protected her from her own highly developed sixth sense) begin to dissolve. Eventually, with no shields left, she is able to teleport objects and people she cannot see simply by sensing their location, and she can teleport to and from locations she has never seen. Her senses become so acute that she can teleport single molecules of air. With her mental shields completely dissolved, her emotions shut down in order to handle the sensory strain.

Appearance of Abilities: When Alex teleports an object, an object, or a person, they briefly become a silhouette filled with darkness in which a few stars twinkle distantly. Before reappearing fully in the new location, the teleported item appears first as the silhouette, then as itself.
